KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Chaska Kids Manager will provide execution and care for every aspect of Kid’s Ministry from birth to fifth grade. The Chaska Kids Manager, Chaska Campus will be responsible to the following:
Provide solid, biblical teaching so that children can develop a firm biblical foundation as well as a deep love for Jesus
Support parents through creating a welcoming environment, building relationships and trust with families, encouraging parents to biblically parent their children (based on Deuteronomy 6), and providing support as needed
Manage recruitment, equipping, delegating, and scheduling of volunteers to help children treasure Christ
Build solid relationships and healthy biblical culture with leaders and families as they grow in their walk with Jesus
Provide leadership for birth through 5th grade for all weekly and summer children’s programming, strategy, and vision
Train leaders and families on policies, programs (Sunday and mid-week), and curriculum.
Maintain a safe environment for children
Oversee children’s ministry set up and tear down for weekend services and Wednesday evening programming
Collaborate and communicate regularly with the Campus team and the Director of Kid's Ministry, Eden Prairie Campus
Participate in monthly Kid’s Ministry department meeting and NXT Gen Ministry department meeting
Plan and oversee the Kid’s campus budget
Other duties as assigned
PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS
Educational requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Experience required: High School diploma required
Educational interest in Youth Ministry as a vocational career, preferred
Demonstrate a personal passion to minister to people within the context of the local church
Demonstrates strong leadership qualities and willingness to innovate
Entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to work independently.
Flexibility for evening and weekend services and events required
Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit
Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20)
We expect our staff to strive for cooperation and team building among the Grace Church staff and volunteers, dealing with conflict in a grace-filled, Biblical way
Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations
Consistent attendance and participation in Grace Church and involvement in the life of the church
