HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE (Overview & Key Responsibilities):
Our Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) role will be in charge of all safety, hazard and health controls, processes and training at each DDL site.
Create health and safety processes as needed for all DDL locations.
Create safety training procedures and training to these procedures.
Understanding of OSHA requirements and navigating these requirements in each State DDL has a facility to ensure compliance. Remains abreast of proposed regulations updates.
Identify and ordering of safety material, such as cleaning kits and PPE.
Work with site leads to implement / maintain health and safety processes.
Lead in any containment control situations.
Review of SDS, review PPE required, ensure proper containment available and train as needed for handling of substance.
In charge of substance disposal, such as contacting hazardous disposal service.
Perform annual safety checks and perform necessary safety drills.
Maintain safety records as required per any compliance regulations.
Manages and reports safety KPI’s.

Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health. Or Chemist or Biomedical degree with 5+ years of EHS experience.
5+ years of EHS experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
Understanding of OSHA requirements
Understanding of SDS sheets and how to interpret properly
Understanding of disposal Manifests.
