Description The Hennepin County Public Health Finance area is seeking an Epic Prelude Cadence Trainer/Analyst. This position will provide ongoing system evaluation and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and utilization of Epic applications. The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of Epic Ambulatory Revenue Cycle systems for all professional billing, patient identity, registration, and scheduling workflows. Location and hours: This position is remote. Remote workers may be required to come on-site an average of 0 to 12 days a year for work meetings, trainings, or for any other reasons that their supervisor may deem necessary (may include additional days for onboarding and new employee training). Supervisors will provide as much advance notice as practicable. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. While this position is designated as remote, based on current requirements hires must reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin. New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022, to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment. Provide ongoing system evaluation and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and utilization.
Support essential application functions, perform system configuration tasks, system upgrades, and patching.
Collaborate with Epic internal services team and Epic technical support Prelude and Cadence.
Acquire and maintain knowledge of functional areas supported by all of Revenue Cycle Epic applications.
Maintain proficiency in claim and clearinghouse solutions.
Create, develop, and update lesson plans, handouts, and slide presentations for end-users.
Train and work with end-users to enhance their understanding of available tools for operational efficiencies.
Maintain knowledge and stay current with processes for Revenue Cycle and professional billing.
Need to have:
One of the following:
Eight or more years of experience working with the design, build, and implementation of Epic Prelude and Cadence modules or in a specialty area appropriate to the position.
Bachelor's degree or higher in public administration, business administration, or other field appropriate to the position and four or more years of experience working with the design, build, and implementation of Epic Prelude and Cadence modules or in a specialty area appropriate to the position.

Supporting or working in clinical/revenue cycle system implementation.
Working in patient access, health information management, billing or claim operations.
With Epic Ambulatory Revenue Cycle systems workflow (e.g., patient identity, registration, scheduling, etc.).
Ability to:
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and customers.
Write and communicate technical information to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
