This new position within our Shared Success Center will be at the center of the action from initial planning to launch and ongoing operations, providing an amazing opportunity for your talents to make an impact! This is a Hybrid position located in our Edina, MN office.
Position Description:
Partner with assigned senior leadership to evaluate internal and external business opportunities and draft business plans to support HomeServices’ and operating company strategy. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and controls to facilitate accurate and compliant reporting for the assigned operating company.
Key areas of responsibility for the position include:
Administer the local operating company’s business plans, forecasts, and budgets, along with goals and deliverables, to align with business strategy and create value.
Establish and utilize key operating metrics to assess and drive the performance of operations.
Review actual results vs. budget with operating company leadership and adjust to align with business objectives.
Consult with and advise management concerning the operation of the business as it relates to the attainment of objectives and the effectiveness of policies, organizational structure, and procedures.
Appraise and interpret the effect of economic factors and other external factors on the business and forecast projections.
Implement best practices to leverage synergies and critical mass of the HomeServices organization to enhance profitability.
Interact with operating company leadership and HomeServices regional Finance team to coordinate efforts and ensure business needs are met.
Deepen customer relationships as a trusted and valued partner, actively participating in leadership meetings as the local Finance leader.
Communicate trends in the business and financials.
Serve as escalation point for assigned operating company/companies.
Lead efforts to assess and align resources and processes to achieve operational excellence within the Finance function.
Continually evaluate business and ensure needs are met.
Assist in the initial evaluation of operating company acquisition opportunities.
Assist in new office location evaluation.
Prepare analysis of complex financial data to measure performance, set goals or support leadership in decision-making.
Work cohesively with local operating company finance staff, facilitating regional efforts.
Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting.
Five plus years of relevant finance and management experience.
Strong leadership and team building skills.
Strong written, oral and presentation communication skills.
Project management skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently, including hands on work when required.
Possess and demonstrate creativity, versatility, sound judgement, and drive.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and general accounting software/systems.
Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
