DescriptionThe Health and Human Services line of business is seeking an IT Supervisor to oversee the Information Technology Records Management (ITRM) eForms Development team. We're seeking a leader who exhibits an innovative and inclusive mindset, strong people skills, and effective resource planning with the goal of supporting high functioning teams.
Effective January 1, 2023, there will be a salary increase of 2.5% to the minimum and maximum of the range.

Location and hours:
This position is remote. Remote workers may be required to come onsite an average of 0 to 12 days a year for work meetings, trainings, or for any other reasons that their manager may deem necessary (may include additional days for onboarding and new employee training). Supervisors will provide as much advance notice as possible. Work hours will be Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. While this position is designated as remote, based on current requirements hires must reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.

In this position, you will:
Select, train, and evaluate information technology staff.
Develop, recommend, and implement policies and procedures.
Determine equipment needs and project costs.
Assess and plan career development strategies with department staff; participate in recruitment, selection, development, and evaluation of staff.
Conduct employee performance reviews; manage personnel issues and employee performance; assist staff with developing individual development plans.
Build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels.
Build and nurture collaborative relationships with a variety of customers/partners, both internal and external.
Understand results focus and using it to manage individual and team performance to achieve organizational results.
Establish information technology system standards.
Function as a project leader on special projects.
Need to have:
One of the following:
Eight years or more of experience as an IT specialist within the last ten years; four of which were at the senior IT specialist level.
Associates degree in an approved related field listed below or an approved certification in an IT program, and six years or more of experience as an IT specialist within the last eight years; three of which were at the senior IT specialist level.
Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, management information systems (MIS), or an approved related degree and four years or more of experience as an IT specialist within the last six years; two of which were at the senior IT specialist level.
Nice to have:
Experience:
Supervising and directing IT professionals and/or support staff.
With development methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
With electronic forms technology such as Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, Google Docs, etc.
With the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Knowledge of:
Project management principles and practices of effective management and administration.
Electronic web forms.
Ability to:
Stay current with trends and maintain an understanding of current and emerging capabilities in the area of data capture, specifically electronic forms development platforms.
Assess user needs and provide recommendations.
Facilitate discussions and collaborate with all organizational levels of business and technical staff.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Be flexible and comfortable with change, complexity, and ambiguity; exhibit openness to other perspectives.
