The Housing Stability Division of Health & Human Services is seeking a Principal Planning Analyst to work closely with community and internal partners in an effort to end chronic homelessness in Hennepin County. This is a new position that is grant funded by Built for Zero who is a partner in this work – Hennepin County is part of their Large City Last Mile initiative as the only large city they are working with that are positioned to house the people who have been homeless longest in our system and have a disability. This individual will be responsible for leading the county’s "ending chronic homelessness team" which will include facilitating and managing internal and community meetings, engaging with key stakeholders, leveraging existing and new relationships throughout the community, acting as the connector between stakeholders, and working to collectively achieve the goal of ending chronic homelessness as quickly and effectively as possible. The PPA will utilize best practices such as a by-name-list and testing different interventions and measuring and evaluating success.
Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed in the Hennepin County community and remote as job duties require. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 9a.m. - 5p.m. with some flexibility based on the needs of the role. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or be willing to relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.
