This position has flexibility to work a hybrid schedule or work full-time in the office. If the incumbent chooses a hybrid schedule, a telework arrangement with their supervisor is required.
As a Civil Rights Project Specialist, you will provide project management and contract support to promote the advancement of the department’s external contracting opportunities and equity goals in civil rights programs through workforce and small business development. Responsibilities include:
Developing statements of work for On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Support Services
Developing and implementing programs for women, minority, and disadvantaged individuals in business and workforce development statewide by participating in stakeholder groups to make program improvements
Coordinating the federal and state grant and contract management process for Business and Program Development
Developing training for workforce and small business consultant contracts and vendors to ensure compliance
Performing other duties as assigned
Occasional in state travel may be required

Here are the minimum qualifications:
Three years of professional experience in civil rights, contract or grant administration, or business or workforce development that demonstrates the following:
· Experience administering and monitoring programs, contracts and/or grants.
· Experience analyzing and interpreting statutes, rules, laws, regulations, etc.
· Experience analyzing information sufficient to determine accuracy and compliance.
