Due to our continued growth, SPS Commerce is adding a Senior Contracts Manager to our sales operations team. In this role, you'll manage end-to-end sales contracts review, including negotiations, modifications, approvals, proposals, and template creation. Day to Day
This role requires an ability to understand SPS’s business, the sales process, and create/communicate solutions. The role acts as a representative of the Sales Operations team in complex cross-functional projects and teams.
Manage end-to-end process for contracts review, engaging cross-functional teams: review proposed modifications to contracts; draft and revise contract language to address various situations as they arise; oversee and conduct negotiations for proposals and contracts; obtain all required approvals for modifications; serve as the singular point of contact/resolution
Coordinate with cross-functional teams during contract/template creation, contract review, acting as a key contact for the Legal department; provide guidance on commonly requested edits, non-standard terms, policies, questions, etc.
Influence, inform, ideate, and collaboratively partner cross-functionally with SPS leaders and with key stakeholders internally/externally
Independently handle complex issues, inquiries, and requests with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues
Manage contract integration resulting from acquisitions; manage deal and request flow in alignment with priorities
Mentor (guide, advise, empower) Deal Desk teammates by sharing seasoned knowledge; identify potential training opportunities and coordinate with leadership to develop and deliver training and sales enablement tools
Leverage expertise in multiple areas of sales operations and proactively identify areas for improved insights, processes, and opportunities
Identify new and creative opportunities to leverage all Sales Operations systems to better support business processes or functions
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience managing contracts (specifically including drafting and negotiating subscription/technology contracts); Master’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience leading complex projects with cross-functional teams
Clear, concise, and confident communicator (verbal, non-verbal, written) with excellent organizational skills
Demonstrate a continuous ability to work with sensitive and confidential information
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
· Experience with Salesforce.com and CPQ
· Contractual operations in a tech company environment
· Master’s Degree or JD Degree
