The Sr Manger SIOP (Sales Inventory and Operations Planning) is to lead the process of managing demand signals for products to ensure organizational alignment to a plan of record. The position will partner with the Director of Supply Chain and Commercial Leadership in the creation and management of the operational demand plan for Starkey by product type, model, and market in the suite of planning systems. Facilitate the SIOP process by supporting Leadership in partnering across the Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, & Global Teams to gain consensus and ensure alignment in strategy between the demand, supply and financial plans.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTS
Support and sustain the standard demand planning process and systems.
Review demand planning processes and produce action plans to close any gaps between current performance and organizational expectations.
Drive global forecast reporting and record demand changes and assumptions.
Lead user training to ensure process owners and stakeholders are capable of participating effectively.
Provide a central resource for demand management.
Facilitate the demand planning process.
Provide leadership and support the markets by building partnerships with key stakeholders.
Perform the role of ‘super user’ in the demand planning tools.
Drive demand planning process improvements and performance against demand planning KPI’s.
Define the process maturity roadmap and drive process improvements.
Set measurable targets and lead action plans to improve performance.
Monitor, report and follow up on performance vs. targets.
Drive and recognize outstanding performance.
Ensure the organization is producing an updated monthly demand plan and adherence to deadlines.
Create standard work and document the SIOP processes.
Ensure forecasts are in place that recognize all demand for product required in the planning horizon.
Ensure the assumptions behind the forecast are documented and agreed upon.
Communicate demand plan details at both the aggregate and mix levels to the required business functions.
Facilitate the monthly demand review with the commercial organization to ensure consensus and approval.
Communicate the approved demand plan with the operations team to ensure feasibility and gain approval. If the operations team cannot commit to the demand plan, then facilitate plan reconciliation.
Summarize and share the approved plan with executive leadership to ensure organizational alignment and to highlight any areas of risk that need further attention.
Lead Exception Management
Ensure that abnormal demand and market opportunities are effectively communicated and understood through the supply network through close loop feedback mechanism.
Gather input and consensus from operations and commercial leadership when unforecasted opportunities are presented to the organization.
Provide information to support decision making and the allocation of product when supply is constrained.
Support of market-level inventory management.
Support global inventory management in the review of facility supply targets relative to the plan of record.
Monitor facility adherence to the plan of record by measuring inventory on hand versus inventory entitlements relative to approved targets.
Provide input into product lifecycle considerations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or alternate field of study if combined with relevant career experience.
MBA or Supply Chain specific master’s preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain planning
1 - 3+ years prior experience in managing a SIOP process is preferred
Experience developing and managing supply chain metrics to monitor inventory levels and identify areas for improvement
Experience in managing cross functional teams in a matrix environment
Experience with Supply Chain Planning systems
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Proficient with statistical analysis
APICS CPIM / CIRM, CSCP, Lean / Six Sigma, and/or PMP certifications is preferred
Knowledge / Technical Requirements
Business principles and techniques of administration, organization, and management including an in-depth understanding of the key business issues that exist in a global manufacturing and sales organization.
Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems and technology to support supply chain functions. Understanding of systems use and configuration.
