Description
The Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR) is seeking to fill two Strategy and Resource Manager positions in the Field Services Client Programming (FSCP) and Adult Pre-adjudication Services divisions. These positions will be responsible for the development and management of the annual budget, contracts/grants, and oversight of financial approvals. They will also be responsible for the management of the administrative support staff line of business and serve as a member of the divisional management team. Location and hours:
These positions are hybrid and will be performed on-site at the Hennepin County Government Center at 300 South Sixth Street, Minneapolis, MN 55487, and remote as job duties allow. Work hours will typically be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. While these positions are designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin. New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022, to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.

In these positions, you will:
· Develop and manage the division budget along with the forecasting.
· Prepare and present the annual budgets for the division.
· Review monthly financial revenue and expenditures and notify leadership of identified impacts to the budget or year-end forecast.
· Prepare and perform monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts and transactions; journal entries; and year-end activities according to standardized governmental methods and procedures.
· Perform various financial analysis, participate on special projects as requested, and present finding and recommendations to leadership.
· Manage contracts and grants; approve requisitions and purchasing cards.
· Track all staff changes, assist with hiring efforts for the division, and provide position management support.
· Oversee divisional performance measurement and strategic planning activities.
· Plan, organize, supervise, and evaluate complex projects.
· General space management to include equipment needs and renovation efforts.
o Note: Each division may have additional duties and responsibilities specific to the work in this area.
Need to have:
· One of the following:
o Nine or more years of experience in general administrative work related to the management of departmental/organizational operations or in a specialty area appropriate to the position. Note: General administrative work is defined as the administration and/or management of programs, policies, and/or budgets.
o Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, behavioral science, corrections administration, criminal justice, public administration, or other field appropriate to the position and five or more years of experience related to the position.
