KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Students Worship Associate will serve to create God-honoring, engaging, and high-quality worship environments for High School and Junior High on a weekly basis. This will be done by exhibiting the Grace Church culture and “style” of worship while recruiting, equipping, and mobilizing volunteers to facilitate these services. The Students Worship Associate will serve in the following responsibilities:
Create and lead (vocally and instrumentally) a worship program that can be executed at both NXT High School and NXT Junior High services.
Work with student pastors to develop engaging services for NXT High School and NXT Junior High (including songs, announcements, videos, transitions, etc.).
Carry Grace church’s worship values, style, quality and processes into Student worship experiences.
Identify, recruit, develop, and shepherd students on the music and production teams within NXT High School and NXT Junior High.
Plan and execute weekly worship team rehearsals, ensuring that each music and production team member has ample ability to rehearse prior to services.
Manage and oversee the use of Planning Center Online for NXT by regularly updating processes, arrangements, charts, resources and team schedules with a high level of communication and professionalism.
Provide leadership and direction of creative ways to use the student worship platform to build bridges from the church into the community.
Assist the Worship Arts team in the execution of weekend services and special events as directed.
Provide worship at strategic seasonal and non-seasonal all-church events, camps, retreats and conferences.
Have a working knowledge of all media, production equipment, and procedures within NXT spaces and possess a desire toward continued growth in the area of production systems.
Coordinate with Worship Arts and Student Team for maintenance and replacement of instruments, technology, and band gear within NXT spaces.
Other duties as assigned.
PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS
Trained and proficient in vocal and instrumental music with the ability to read and write chord charts.
Gifted worship leader, sensitive to the leading and promptings of the Holy Spirit.
3+ years’ experience in worship leadership.
Ability to lead and develop a team of volunteer singers and instrumentalists and technicians.
Working knowledge and experience in AVL technology, Planning Center Online, Pro Presenter, and Ableton Live.
Ability to self-motivate, build teams, innovate, and work independently as well as with a team.
Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
Displays a servant heart, positive demeanor, as well as a humble and approachable spirit.
Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20).
Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity while representing Grace Church and its beliefs/values.
Consistent attendance and participation in Grace Church and involvement in the life of the church.
