Description
The Hennepin County Attorney's Office (HCAO) is currently seeking a Trial Support Specialist to join the Trial Support Team of the Adult Prosecution Division.

Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed on-site at the Hennepin County Government Center at 300 S. 6th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55487 and rotates working remote every other week on Thursday and Friday. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, with typical hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Based on current requirements hires must live in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.
New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment. Obtain and return evidence from law enforcement agencies while maintaining chain of custody.
Upload and manage digital media and documents electronically.
Prepare digital media and physical evidence for presentation at trial.
Provide attorneys trial support with multimedia equipment when in trial.
Need to have:
One of the following:
Two or more years of office clerical experience.
18 or more months of office clerical experience and completion of the Office Specialist Pathway Training program or the Healthcare Clerical Pathway Training program.
One or more year of office clerical experience and completion of the Human Services Pathway Training Program.
Note: Education may be substituted for experience on a month for month (3 semester credits = 1 month) basis.

Experience:
Working in a legal, public sector, and/or government office setting.
With presentation equipment (e.g. large flat screen monitors, document cameras, and computer connections and distribution).
Strong computer skills for the ability to store files for use by multiple users in a server environment.
An understanding of judicial system processes pertaining to evidence in criminal court.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to:
Interact with the general public with tact and discretion and provide excellent customer service for internal and external customers.
Maintain confidentiality and work with protected information.
Maintain paper, electronic filing, and stocking supplies.
Coordinate mailing list.
Accurately maintain items by using an electronic database.
Playback files with the use of media player programs.
Respect cultural differences and provide culturally appropriate services.
