Description
The Contract Management Services area of Human Services and Public Health (HSPH) is seeking a Vendor Selection Coordinator to join their team. In a fast-paced environment, the person hired will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of vendor selection processes for HSPH customers, from initial contact through vendor notification.

Location and hours: This position is remote. Remote workers may be required to come on-site an average of 0 to 12 days a year for work meetings, trainings, or for any other reasons that their supervisor may deem necessary (may include additional days for onboarding and new employee training). Supervisors will provide as much advance notice as practicable. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. with flexibility. While this position is designated as remote, based on current requirements hires must reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment. About the position type:

In this position, you will:
· Coordinate all aspects of the HSPH vendor selection process on behalf of service area customers, including facilitating kickoff and preproposal meetings, assisting with drafting and reviewing vendor selection documents, receiving and distributing proposals, facilitating proposal reviews and vendor recommendations.
· Notifying vendors of decisions, and responding to requests for public data related to vendor selection processes; ensure vendor selection processes advance equity in contracting decisions and reflect best practices for reducing disparities in communities served with contracted services.
· Support county-wide priorities and initiatives related to disparity reduction and contracting equity.
· Develop tools and resources to support customers in their vendor selection processes.
· Support potential proposers/vendors as they navigate the vendor selection process.
· Manage projects or initiatives which include development of policy and procedure recommendations, coordination of project activities, and evaluation and improvement of current practices.
· Collaborate and communicate with diverse stakeholders in sensitive contexts.
· Ensure compliance with Hennepin County purchasing rules and Minnesota statutes and provide guidance on ethics, data privacy, and the county approval process.
Need to have:
· One of the following:
o Eight or more years of relevant contracting or purchasing experience.
o Bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of two courses in business, public administration, healthcare administration, public health, or social services and four years or more of relevant contracting or purchasing experience.
o Bachelor's degree in one of the fields listed below and three years or more of contracting or purchasing experience.
o Master's degree or higher in business administration, public administration, health care administration, public health, or a social services academic area and two years or more of contracting or purchasing experience.

o Produce high-quality, polished documents and presentations through attention to detail and strong editing skills.
o Provide responsive customer service while maintaining process integrity.
o Adapt to change and adjust established processes to meet new needs.
o Navigate and utilize technology effectively, including using SharePoint, Teams, PeopleSoft, and Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).
o Plan and facilitate effective meetings that result in consensus decisions using a virtual platform for meeting presentations.
o Collaborate with and leverage the experience of people doing similar work in other parts of the county.
