The Warehouse Attendant will pull finished goods and/or accessories to fill customer orders, including; packing, labeling, and shipping. This position will ensure received shipments are verified and received according to the appropriate process. This position is responsible for pulling components to fill work orders and performing daily cycle counts. The incumbent will process shipments through automated systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pack and ship all Customer Orders, according to order specifications and shipping procedure
• Ship Customer Orders using the specified carrier and service, or if unspecified, by using the most cost‑effective means available
• Notify the Manufacturing Manager immediately (or in their absence, the Manufacturing Team Lead) of items that are not available for shipment of Customer Orders which are in hand
• Notify the Manufacturing Manager of products purchased for resale and shipping supplies that have fallen below the established reorder points
• Maintain the Finished Goods Warehouse and Raw Materials Warehouse in an efficient, well-organized manner
• Perform Cycle Count activity as assigned
• Operate and maintain Fork-lift
• Interface with delivery carriers to receive goods
• Inspect received goods for shipping damage. Unpack and check for accuracy in material and quantity received against the packing list for shipment
• Warehouse all received goods as soon as possible, ideally within one working day of receipt. Material received will be stored in proper containers, with proper identification and proper location. Handle paperwork according to receiving procedure
• If directed, pick up or deliver packages that require faster action than can be obtained through established pick‑up and delivery sources
• Seek training to improve skills
• Perform special tasks as may be assigned by the Manufacturing Manager
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• High School diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years of warehouse and/or shipping and receiving preferred
• Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Computer experience – ERP systems, Microsoft Office and UPS/FedEx software preferred
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently
• Problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
• Good communication skills both oral and written
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
• Cycle count experience a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
The Warehouse Attendant position requires mobility, bending, reaching above shoulder level, and frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. This position requires the use of a standalone ladder, pallet jack, and electric forklift. This position also requires a person to reach heights up to 20 ft. This person is exposed to significant temperature changes during the winter months, and may be exposed to dust and automotive exhaust. These physical requirements must be performed with or without accommodation.
