Haven Housing, located in North Minneapolis, offers emergency shelter and supportive housing for women and families. The mission of Haven Housing is to provide women in crisis or transition with a stable environment and the opportunity to explore options for their future. Haven Housing is currently seeking an Advocate to join our dynamic team. Position Summary The Advocate serves on a team that works on behalf of shelter guests, ensures the safety of the shelter residents and the facilities, and supports client needs. We are seeking an Advocate to work Full Time Evenings, with hours between 2 pm and 10pm. All staff work one shift per weekend. Essential Duties: Provide client and building customer service to include answering phones and doors, responding to immediate resident concerns, and monitoring and documenting resident medications Assist residents to include problem solving, conflict resolution, crisis intervention, enforcing house guidelines, using a trauma-informed lens Log resident contact and communicate changes effectively Ensure facility safety and complete incident reports as necessary Attend monthly meetings with Advocate Supervisor Requirements: A combination of education and experience in Social Services to equal one or more years. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with women of diverse racial and socioeconomic backgrounds in homeless or housing setting Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Skills: Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, written and verbally Good judgment and decision making skills Service orientation with a willingness to help others and meet the needs of clients and staff Ability to attend to multiple tasks while meeting deadlines Computer proficiency to include online communications, payroll software, and other digital platforms Physical Environment: Work in sober, supportive housing serving women Represent Haven Housing at community events in North Minneapolis on occasion. Haven Housing is currently seeking a Health Specialist (Chemical Dependency Professional) to join our dynamic team. Position Summary The Health Specialist (Chemical Dependency Professional) will provide chemical and mental health (MI/CD) support throughout our three programs. The Health Specialist will provide chemical and mental health therapeutic services to women who have experience with homelessness, complex trauma, and other barriers to life instability. The Health Specialist will lead individual and group sessions, provide crisis intervention, coordinate community resources, and provide educational opportunities. This position is funded through a grant for a two-year period, with the goal of continued employment thereafter. The Health Specialist will report to the Director of Programs. Essential duties ● Provide chemical and mental health services to program participants ● Conduct individualized health needs assessments, collaboratively establishing client goals, and creating plans to achieve health objectives ● Develop and present MI/CD education and promotion programs, such as training workshops, conferences, and school or community presentations ● Document activities and record information in participant records ● Prepare and distribute health education materials, such as reports, bulletins, and visual aids, to address public health concerns ● Maintain cooperative working relationships within Haven Housing and with agencies in the community to assist residents in achieving goals Requirements: ● 7+ years combination of education and experience in delivering MI/CD services ● 2+ years in customer service or direct care role ● Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, or related ● Valid Driver’s license Preferred Qualifications: ● Experience working with women of diverse racial and socioeconomic backgrounds in homeless or housing settings ● Active involvement in related professional organizations to be aware of best practices to deliver high quality services Skills: ● Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in written, interpersonal, and verbal formats, including ability to be an active listener ● Service orientation with a willingness to help others and meet the needs of program participants, staff, and external partners ● Serve as a role model with strong adherence to professional boundaries ● Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time Physical Environment: ● Office in a supportive housing residence serving women and families in N. Haven Housing is currently seeking a Program and Billing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The Program and Billing Coordinator will support both the accounting department and program participants of Haven Housing. The Program and Billing Coordinator will work directly with program participants and agencies to ensure timely billing and resolution. Haven Housing is seeking a candidate excited about utilizing their service mindset to provide high quality contributions to a team. The Program and Billing Coordinator will report to the Program Director, but work closely with the Haven Housing Accountant. Essential duties ● Manage Housing Support (HS) funds for HH programs to include payments for rent, utilities, and other eligible costs, and recording and monitoring income received. ● Maintain participant billing, including verification and follow up on denied and unpaid claims, to include MN-ITS and housing stabilization billing ● Utilize tracking systems for income and expenses, recertification dates, and paperwork submitted to the county. ● Administer, monitor, record, and track pool expenses and ensure expenses are in compliance with program requirements. ● Assist residents with housing paperwork while interpreting eligibility requirements, application details, payment methods, and applicants' legal rights. ● Sustain resident relationships to certify eligibility for continued participation. ● Record payables and receivables in Quickbooks and make bank deposits. Allocate costs to individual programs. ● Reconcile credit card expenses and process expense reports Requirements: ● 2+ years combination of education and experience in business administration ● 2+ years in customer service or direct care role ● 1+ year experience with Quickbooks or closely related accounting program ● Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, or related ● Valid Driver’s license Preferred Qualifications: ● Experience working with women of diverse racial and socioeconomic backgrounds in homeless or housing settings ● Experience with electronic billing and reporting systems Skills: ● Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in written, interpersonal, and verbal formats ● Service orientation with a willingness to help others and meet the needs of program participants, staff, and external partners ● Attention to detail and aptitude to evaluate options and identify appropriate solutions ● Time management skills and responsiveness to deadlines ● Computer proficiency to include online communications, ordering, and other digital platforms Physical Environment: ● Office in a supportive housing residence serving women and families in North Minneapolis ● Travel to scattered sites in the community, as needed, to work with program participants Excellent Employee Benefits including ● Medical (85% paid for employee), fully paid employee dental, and paid basic life ● 401k Retirement with employer contribution and match ● 10 days Float/Holiday pay ● 4 weeks paid time off to start Salary: $48,000-50,000 year, depending on qualifications Job Type: Exempt (not eligible for overtime pay), 40 hours per week.
