Grace Church - Eden Prairie Full-Time Exempt KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Male Discipleship Associate is responsible for overseeing all aspects of male small groups and leaders in NXT J-High. He will also support the overall leadership of NXT J-High and play a key role in all J-High programs, events, retreats, etc. The Male Discipleship Associate will serve in the following responsibilities: Make disciples through role as a J-High small group leader Intentionally pour into the male small group leaders in NXT J-High for the purposes of value, connection, and equipping Oversee J-High Wednesday Night first impressions (check-in, new students, café, dinner) Organize and Manage NXT J-High small groups in CCB Recruit volunteers (i.e., small group leaders, parent hall monitors, new student welcome team, café, and check-in volunteers). Conduct assessments on the spiritual health and discipleship of each male small group for the purposes of encouragement, evaluation, and sharpening Organize, plan, and execute J-High Events (Lockout, Winter Retreat, Summer Camp) alongside the J-High Director. Build and implement a discipleship pathway for students that reflects the 7 marks of being a disciple of Jesus Christ in collaboration with the other Discipleship Associates and the Directors of NXT. Communicate weekly with parents & volunteers. Serve on the J-High teaching team as necessary. Safeguard information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems Protect systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources Implement security improvements by assessing current situations, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits Assist in monitoring system and network performance Assist in creating and maintaining the Information Security Policy as well as technical support documentation for systems and applications Design and create data aggregation systems for business analytics Create analytics dashboards that allow ministry leaders to make informed decisions Provide vision and direction for analytics to serve the organization's core priorities Assist in developing and testing software and mobile applications Assist in end-user support as necessary Other duties as assigned PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience preferred 2+ years’ experience or training in information security systems Working knowledge of or ability to learn Microsoft systems: Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server and Windows Desktop as well as Linux systems: MySQL, Apache, Kubernetes, etc. Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth and common security elements Working knowledge of or ability to learn data analytics systems/models and creation of meaningful dashboards/visualizations.
