GENERAL SUMMARY The Sr. Financial Reporting Analyst supports the Finance Manager in providing complex financial reporting and analysis for Stratacor Companies Executive management, Board of Directors, and other audiences, as needed. This position will be responsible for month-end reporting, board reporting, supporting the Finance Manager in preparing the annual budget, and other complex financial analyses, as assigned. This position will be the Finance department’s technical liaison with the IT department as it relates to financial reporting as well as the technical liaison for other financial systems and software integrations, upgrades, and maintenance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Primary responsibilities may be up to and include the following: 1. Month-end financial reporting and analysis, which includes but is not limited to preparing Executive Dashboards, Cost Center Reporting, Board Letters, and Financial Summaries. 2. Preparation of quarterly board reporting and presentations. 3. Assist the Finance Manager in developing the annual budget, including preparation of reports and presentations to management, as well as loading budget data to Adaptive. 4. Reconcile data to source systems such as General Ledger, Datawarehouse, and vendor financial/accounting systems (i.e. PeopleSoft, ETS, SCORE). This may require working with internal/external teams to ensure the accuracy of financial data. 5. Load monthly financial and non-financial data to Adaptive for use in financial reporting and analysis. 6. Utilize Oracle Financials system (General Ledger, Budgeting and Accounts Payable modules), and other system applications utilized by accounting/finance for the: a. Analysis of financial data b. Trend analysis c. Expense detail and analysis d. Upload and management of the budget data 7. Become a system application expert on external systems required to pull data for financial and dashboard reporting (Tableau, data warehousing, Oracle Tables, etc.) 8. Active involvement with the implementation of financial system integrations, upgrades or conversions (i.e. business intelligence, budgeting software, changes to existing software). 9. Ensure financial and data completeness and accuracy by performing root-cause analysis and collaborating with various departments to resolve underlying data issues. 10. Proactively seek opportunities to improve processes and identify areas of improvement. 11. Completion of other special projects and duties as assigned. 12. Maintain a high level of confidentiality. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 1. Proven verbal and written communication skills. 2. Excellent analytical skills with Financial/Accounting related data. 3. Strong time management, prioritization, and organization skills. 4. Strong attention to detail, with a focus on financial reporting accuracy and completeness. 5. Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with various teams across the organization. 6. Experience creating professional presentation materials in PowerPoint. 7. Ability to summarize and present complex data in a succinct manner. 8. Minimum three (3) years experience using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) with proficiency at an intermediate to expert level ability in a spreadsheet program (Excel) 9. Experience with financial/accounting systems (Adaptive, Office Connect, and Oracle Financial or similar ERP experience are strongly preferred). 10. Required: Demonstrated full proof of vaccination against COVID-19 prior to start date. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related area. 2. Minimum of three (3) years experience in a professional finance or accounting position. 3. Experience querying/working with large data sets. 4. Experience with data warehouses, databases (i.e. Access) preferred. 5. Minimum of three (3) years of recent comprehensive experience with an ERP or financial system (Oracle experience is preferred). Internal Relationships: Supports both Accounting and Finance. Works with Executive Management on projects, as assigned. 4. External Relationships: Banks/financial institutions, audit & tax personnel from independent accounting firms, various Federal/State departments and other regulatory agencies or associations, investment managers, health plans, vendor finance staff, external audit personnel, etc.
