Front Desk / Receptionist- Casual hours. Hours for this position will flex from week to week. Minnesota Urology is looking for someone who is responsible for efficiently and compassionately checking in and registering patients for appointments with the clinic including coordinating patient flow, distributing incoming calls, locating and requesting records for patient appointments, and providing additional support as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES: Answer and direct clinic front desk multi-line telephone system routing calls to appropriate personnel. Effectively and efficiently coordinate the patient check-in/registration process including checking and verifying insurance information, referrals, insurance eligibility, current demographics, collecting co-pays and accurately entering the appropriate information in NextGen. Assist in the preparation of the patient medical records to ensure adequate records are available for patient appointments. Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the reception area. Works closely with management and staff to coordinate the allocation of supplies and equipment in all departments and work areas. POSITION TITLE: Coding Specialist DEPARTMENT: Business Services REPORTS TO: Business Services Manager PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: To accurately link ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes to daily charges, ensure ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes are updated and reviewed regularly for accuracy, monitor physician and physician extender coding practices, and ensure that all charges are accounted for and entered in a timely manner. RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitors daily flow of office, hospital, and laboratory charges to ensure accuracy and timeliness of entry. Verifies and audits provider documentation. Provides feedback and education to providers as needed to ensure documentation and compliance standards are met. Links ICD-10 codes to CPT and HCPCS codes correctly and completely prior to processing for billing, insurance filing and revenue reporting. Maximizes reimbursement through correct coding utilizing ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS. Works insurance denials with prompt turnaround to aid in appeals. Provides complete and accurate information to patients requesting coding and pricing guidance for care and coverage. Attends various external meetings/conferences/seminars to enhance professional development and growth on a regular basis. Other duties as assigned. JOB TITLE: Laboratory Manager DEPARTMENT: Lab REPORTS TO: Reports to Laboratory Director PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The laboratory manager will have direct responsibilities for the operations of the clinical and anatomic laboratory and all satellite clinic laboratory sites. Responsibilities will include procedure development; implementation, training, and ongoing updates; creation and maintenance of a personnel manual; training of personnel within the laboratory and all services. Oversees the routine and specialized procedures in the Histopathology Laboratory including preparation of histology material, cytology material, immunohistochemistry, and FISH material. Maintain and implement all LIS functions. Perform and coordinate all external lab testing. Hiring and maintaining laboratory staff members. Ensures compliance with all COLA, CLIA, and federal guidelines. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for all daily lab functions which include; performing and supervision of in-house lab specimens testing, daily lab draws. Supervises the work of laboratory personnel engaged in specialized technical procedures, including planning laboratory work, evaluating work performance, and handling procedural and technical laboratory problems. Prepare technical reports reflecting the volume of work, procedures utilized and test results; coordinate the preparation of reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions Development and implementation of new medical laboratory procedures and techniques; plan, develop and present training or workshops. Available to assist with daily lab draws. Direct and indirect supervision of in-house lab specimens testing.
