DriSteem Corporation, a division of Research Products Corporation designs and manufactures humidification systems to meet the unique requirements of health care, industrial, process-critical, commercial and residential applications worldwide.  DriSteem’s reputation as the humidification industry leader is the result of over 47 years of product excellence, innovation, and responsive customer service.  We are currently seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator to join our team in Eden Prairie, MN.  This position will reside with the Materials team and report to the Materials Manager.

               

POSITION SUMMARY:

Primary duties include working on the warehouse/manufacturing floor, supplying production lines with raw materials required to meet goal, picking materials for daily shipping requirements, and cycle count process.  Packaging, counting, sorting, palletizing.  Accountable to work independently and cross functionally within the organization.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES: 

  • Verifies inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock.  Performs daily cycle counts and investigates discrepancies and adjusts errors.  Responsible for overall inventory accuracy measurement and an organized stock rotation.

  • Fundamental understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) concepts in manufacturing.  Reads and interprets a variety of work schedules, Discrete Jobs, Kanban, Bill of Material, and Pick Lists.

  • Perform accurate data entry transactions within ERP system along with accurately recording information to ensure material traceability/accountability.  Record inventory movement for items in the stockroom for several applications including MRB.

  • Ensure accurate product labeling and label accountability.

  • Manually or mechanically loads and unloads materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices or other transport vehicles.

  • Stores or delivers merchandise to correct warehouse location as determined by system location and production requirements.

  • Accountable to deliver and sustain material availability on productions lines in support of 100% schedule adherence. 

  • Picks/packs materials from the warehouse for daily shipping requirements.

  • Tracks shop floor expensed items and notifies Buyer when reorder is needed.

  • Accountable to work cross functionally with shipping/receiving as needed.

  • Supports continual compliance with ISO 9001 standards and procedures.

·         Supports Lean initiatives, maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition, works safely, and complies with all established rules and work practices.

·         Complies with any/all company safety and health rules and policies and promotes safe work practices.  Report any safety concerns to a supervisor/manager.

·         Acts as a resource to others and sets an example for good warehouse material handling practices.

·         Complies with the company and department policies and procedures as applicable.

·         Keeps supervisor informed of job related problems, and other information related to work activity.

·         Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Sitting, standing, bending, walking, and reaching will be required for entire workday, depending on work assignment.  Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

  • High school education or equivalent related experience.

  • Valid Minnesota state driver’s license.

  • Health card for DRI-STEEM truck.

  • APICS training in production inventory control preferred.

  • Self-motivated, flexible, and cooperative.

  • Intermediate level of experience with math and problem solving preferred.

  • Basic knowledge in proper use of hand tools.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Familiar with computer system operations and software as it relates to inventory control documentation preferred.

  • Familiar with Microsoft computer software products such as Excel and Word, and the Internet.

  • Ability to operate a forklift.
