About this Position:
Baker Publishing Group is accepting applications for the position of Art/Design Traffic Coordinator.
The purpose of this position is to assist the Bloomington-based Art/Design team by effectively organizing work, scheduling the process and communicating appropriate details to all relevant parties, thereby helping designers focus their creative energy on industry-leading book covers and product packaging.
The Art/Design Traffic Coordinator is responsible to the Creative Director to plan, schedule, manage and effectively communicate internally and externally (via voice, electronic and database media) details related to art and design of book covers, ebook covers, complex specialty book interiors, packaging for audiobooks, DVDs and curriculum packages for Bethany House and Chosen Books divisions.
The Art/Design Traffic Coordinator is responsible to assist the Art Directors and Acquisition Editors as requested with cost estimates, material and cover treatment samples, to achieve optimal visual objectives within the company’s financial and time constraints.
BA, along with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a publishing or printing office or professional environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – especially Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with FileMaker Pro databases is a plus
Strong written and oral communication skills
Must be able to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload
Education or experience in graphic design or an art-related field is preferable
