Administrative Assistant @ United Hardware Distributing
Administrative Assistant: United Hardware Distributing is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant for our Merchandising Department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Answer phone calls from dealers and vendors (provides information on pricing and products)
· Maintain current product information on the database, i.e. description, pack, weight, factory numbers, pricing, fine line class and vendor file maintenance
· Prepare and process new item worksheets (checks for accuracy)
· Prepare new item catalog sheets, and send to marketing. Obtain art and copy from vendors. Proof and correct errors in the catalog and advertisements
· Input vendor information on-line
· Distribute mail for department
· Copy, fax and file as necessary
· Assist in layout and other duties relating to dealer mailings and bulletins
· Input and maintain on-line market information
· Handle discrepant receiving reports
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
· Multitask
· Strong Communication
· Basic clerical knowledge
· Analytical
· Typing skills
· Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
