POSITION SCOPE: 

 

The Operations Field Support Specialist is responsible for ongoing support of Jan-Pro Franchisees and oversight of customer accounts in the Minneapolis – St. Paul metro area.

 

The Operations Field Support Specialist works with Jan-Pro Franchisees through training and certification program in Jan-Pro cleaning processes and techniques, coordinates site visits and new customer orientation, ensures that the service levels are meeting standards and are in compliance with brand standards, assists in resolving customer complaints, and monitoring performance through proactive visits. The work schedule for this position generally begins around 5 PM and requires flexibility on days worked including some weekends.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Understand and convey the value and benefits of the Jan-Pro brand

  • Represent the Jan-Pro brand with vigor and enthusiasm

  • Routinely inspect franchisee operations in the Minneapolis – St. Paul area

  • Perform initial customer start up with Franchise Owners

  • Provide ‘on-site’ training for new Franchise Owners

  • Identify additional service opportunities for Franchise Owners

  • Resolve customer complaints as necessary

  • Assist the Operations Director in preparation and delivery of the Initial Franchise training

  • Recommend solutions and ongoing training to assist franchise owners in improving service levels


PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction

  • Hard working with a pleasant personality

  • Ability to intelligently work through customer and franchise issues that may arise

  • Undergraduate degree in related discipline is a plus

  • 2 years of experience in customer service related field is a plus

  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills

  • Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook) and Internet operations

  • Professional speaking voice and demeanor

  • Ability to keep secure highly sensitive information and work in a confidential environment

  • Highly organized and able to multitask

  • 2 years facility maintenance experience a plus

  • Must have reliable transportation

 

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Clear, easy to understand oral communication ability

  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer (desk-top and lap-top) and other electronic equipment

  • Ability to take legible hand-written notes where necessary

  • Correctable vision and hearing

  • Lift 50+ pounds

 

ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE:

  • A comfortable office, excellent furnishings and equipment

  • Exposure to artificial interior lighting

  • Low to medium level noise

  • Exposure to hazards as typically found in office products and equipment
