This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a strong generalist who wants to develop and enhance the human resources function at Pizza Lucé. Under the guidance of the CEO, the Human Resource Manager Generalist will be responsible for the efficient and effective administrative support of day-to-day Human Resources operations that support our employment brand of valuing diversity, inclusiveness, accountability and being engaged in our communities.
Responsibilities include: Develops and maintains company Human Resource policies and procedures including the employee handbook, current job descriptions, performance evaluation program and benefits administration. Conducts employee recruitment effort for all exempt personnel, collaborates with Training Manager with employee on-boarding and training programs, responsible to support management teams with employee relations, conduct investigations, performance counseling, stay (career development) interviews and exit interviews. Collaborate with corporate team with group benefit plans including renewal and fiduciary review. Administers the workers’ compensation program and the company’s unemployment insurance program. Facilitates the company’s performance management, corrective action and offensive behavior standards for all personnel. Maintains Human Resource Information System records and accurate personnel files. Manages employee FMLA and LOA absences. Compiles reports from databases; EEO-1 and OSHA annual reports and ensures compliance.
Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Administration, or a related field is required. Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in all phases of personnel administration including familiarity with current laws and regulations regarding employers’ and employees’ rights and obligations is required. Demonstrated ability with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Google Drive and knowledge of HRIS/payroll systems is required. Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work independently to plan and prioritize are required. Experience with multi-unit operations is helpful. Previous experience in a restaurant and/or retail environment strongly preferred. Spanish language skills are beneficial. PHR or SPHR is preferred.
