Marketing Associate – State Farm Agent Team Member

 

Job Purpose
To work as an employee of Sam Hennemann Insurance & Financial assisting the agent and team in marketing State Farm products and services
 
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE________________________________________________
  • Experience in marketing and/or customer service desired

  • Previous sales and/or marketing experience required

  • Knowledge of personal lines insurance products wanted

 

SKILLS/ABILITIES_______________________________________________________

  • Strong listening, oral and written communication skills are necessary

  • Ability to influence others

  • Ability to create business relationships with community professionals, prospects and policyholders

  • Ability to take initiative and act effectively in various circumstances without direction

  • Self-confidence/perseverance/strong work ethic: remain positive and maintain progress towards a goal in spite of obstacles and adversity

  • Goal oriented: highly motivated and resourceful to achieve results

  • Proven track record of trustworthiness, dependability and ethical behavior

  • Proven problem solving ability: apply and balance conceptual and analytical thinking by breaking down complex problems, evaluating alternative sources of action and their likely outcomes, and selecting the best alternative

  • Ability to organize and act on several activities concurrently

 

JOB RELATED TRAINING COURSES, LICENSING AND PROGRAMS__________________

 

Previous licensing and/or insurance-specific training is not required to fulfill these job responsibilities

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES___________________________________________

  • Implement the agency’s marketing plan and direct mail campaigns at direction of the agent.

  • Work from the agent’s office and in the community to contact prospects and generate interest for insurance and financial services appointments

  • Set needs-based interview appointments for the agent’s sales team

  • Meet marketing goals set by the agent

  • Provide prompt, accurate, friendly, cost-effective service and utilize it as a basis for establishing a marketing opportunity

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the agent
