Chief Financial Officer @ Johnson Anderson

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

We are seeking a CFO to provide leadership and manage company financial operations, planning, debt financing, budget functions and ensure accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles. The successful candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with varied responsibilities including external IT support.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate financial planning and budget management functions

  • Recommend/implement benchmarks for measuring financial and operating performance

  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget

  • Provide leadership and manage daily operations of the accounting department

  • Manage and prepare financial reports

  • Prepare analysis for financial negotiations and equipment investment decisions

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements

  • Coordinate the management of the ERP system to ensure company objectives are met

  • Assist in establishing short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures

  • Manage and prepare financial outlooks and financial forecasts

  • Design, establish and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish department goals and objectives

  • Serve on Board of Directors and policy-making committees

  • Represent the company externally to government agencies, auditors, and the general public

  • Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff

  • Coordinate and lead the management of external IT support

  • Provide accounting policy orientation for new staff

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with strong Accounting experience

  • Five to Ten years’ experience in a mid to senior level finance or accounting position in a manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Experience with automated financial and accounting reporting systems

  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations

  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections

  • Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting, forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
