FasTest, Inc. is seeking an Accountant to join their team who will work directly with the Controller with the day-to-day accounting activities and administration of all benefit plans.   The individual selected will be responsible for Accounts Receivable as well as a variety of accounting functions.  Located in Roseville, Minnesota, FasTest uses its connection and sealing expertise to identify opportunities where they can help our customers safely produce more efficient and profitable products.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Gain an understanding of our corporate ERP system and use it in day-to-day accounting activities such as –

    • Cash application

    • Journal entry preparation and entry

    • General Ledger maintenance

  • Learn China branch processes and procedures; ensure compliance with China taxation laws

  • Update supplier information

  • Perform Accounts Receivable activities, including –

    • Collection efforts on past due customers

    • Credit checks

  • Create and maintain new financial and business reports while improving upon existing reports

  • Provide various ad hoc Excel based customer analysis for Sales & Marketing department

  • As needed, assist with ongoing accounting work, including but not limited to -

    • Semi-monthly payroll activities

    • Month-end closing process

    • Employee benefits management

  • Prepare State Sales and Use Tax returns, in compliance with payment and reporting regulations on special projects as they arise

  • Support other various administrative functions of the organization

 

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in accounting, business, finance, math, or a related field

  • 2 – 4 years related experience

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.

  • Familiarity with accounting software  

  • Able to complete work to deadlines with little direct supervision

  • Driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented

  • Strong critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills

  • Solid verbal communication skills;

 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Mandarin language skills 

  • Knowledge of Infor’s Visual  

  • Microsoft Access
