I know this is a way off for people who would like a job now but we know it takes time. This position is good for people who are in-between jobs, retirees and/or even students who can and are willing to work:
Monday – Friday Not every Friday is scheduled
20 – 30 hours week
Day time hours 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Day’s can end earlier depending on the number of residents to interview
$19 per hour plus mileage from the persons home to the facility and return
We have a majority of the 2019 interviewers returning this year which is good but the scope of the project is larger. That’s why we need more people.

Field Interviewers conduct 20-minute, face-to-face, structured interviews with residents in nursing facilities and assisted living facilities using an Android tablet device. Residents may have a wide range of health and medical conditions along with other physical and/or cognitive disabilities. This part-time, temporary, project will commence with virtual training the week of September 13, 2021. At training, Field Interviewers participate in a combination of classroom, virtual, and field-based training to receive instruction on how to conduct face-to-face interviews. MANDATORY practice interviews will be scheduled for one day during the week in the Twin Cities Area (final dates to be determined). Once interviewers successfully pass training, they will become part of a team responsible for interviewing throughout the state.
Be available between 8:30 am to 5:00 pm during assignments. Actual hours worked will vary.
Using a tablet computer, conduct 20-minute, structured interviews.
Be punctual, work independently, and remain neutral when conducting interviews.
Keep organized records of interviews and update respondent status daily (e.g., completed interviews, refusals, etc.).
Upload (sync) your completed interviews and other updates daily using a WIFI connection.
Build positive relationships with customers and comprehend customer feedback.
Comply with confidentiality, federal HIPAA regulations, and adhere to data security requirements.
Utilize personal cell phone and email address to regularly be in touch with Vital Research.
· Comfort interacting with frail, older adults, and others with physical and/or other disabilities.
Demonstrate concern and sensitivity to issues of disability, illness, and communication challenges.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organization, time management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate skillfully and in a timely manner via email, phone, and in-person.
Must have a private desktop or laptop computer, reliable wireless Internet, and printer to be able to print from home.
Proficient with email, uploading/downloading files, Internet use, and troubleshooting possible technical glitches.
Ability to read, type, and record responses accurately on a handheld tablet computer (e.g., Kindle, iPad) with a touchscreen.
Ability to follow structured protocols to comply with confidentiality and federal HIPAA regulations.
Must have own reliable transportation, with valid driver license and automobile insurance.
Adhere to a business casual dress code and other personal requirements.
Familiarity with older adults, nursing homes, assisted living, or adult day care centers preferred.
Interviewing experience preferred.

This job operates in a field environment primarily at local nursing and assisted living facilities. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, tablets, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, individuals are regularly required to talk and hear to conduct face-to-face interviews with residents. Staff are continuously required to stand; walk; kneel; use repetitive hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms for up to eight hours each day.
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 10 pounds. Interviewers must always carry all materials on their person.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time, temporary position. Days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The number of work hours will vary (approximately 20-30 hours each week).
Extensive driving is required for this position. Interviewers are assigned to facilities within a 90-mile radius of their home.
Work Time: $19/ hour (includes conducting interviews, etc.)
Mileage: $0.56 per mile
Drive time: Minimum wage, per hour, if over two hours round-trip each day
