Purchasing Assistant: United Hardware Distributing in Plymouth, MN is seeking a full-time Purchasing Assistant for our Merchandising Department. This is a remote position.
United Hardware Distributing Co. is a full-line wholesale hardware distributor providing products, retail programs and support services to independent retailers. Headquartered in Plymouth, MN, United Hardware services dealers from its 400,000 square foot distribution center in Milbank, SD and delivers to locations in 18 states.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Answers phone calls from dealers and vendors (provides information on pricing and products)
Inputs and maintains part setup information in appropriate systems as directed by Merchandise Managers including pricing, description, pack, weight, factory numbers, pricing, hierarchy and vendor file maintenance
Prepares and processes new item setups (checks for accuracy)
Obtains and proofs art and copy from vendors for promotional advertisements
Inputs and maintains vendor setup information in appropriate systems
Input and maintain on-line market information
Handle discrepant receiving reports and unknown receipts
Maintain good attendance record by being present for work each day as scheduled
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
High School Diploma or GED
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic clerical knowledge
