SUMMER EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROGRAM - NOW RECRUITING PEOPLE TO SERVE AS AMERICORPS MEMBERS
ServeMinnesota is rolling out a summer program to help nonprofits and schools as they continue to deal with the challenges of COVID. We are now recruiting up to 700 AmeriCorps members to serve across the state for a 10-week period starting in June.
SUMMER EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROGRAM - NOW RECRUITING PEOPLE TO SERVE AS AMERICORPS MEMBERS THROUGH MAY 19
ServeMinnesota (AmeriCorps) is launching the Summer Emergency Response Initiative June 7-Aug. 14 to continue helping Minnesotans affected by COVID-19. AmeriCorps members will be available to help schools, nonprofits and other organizations by supporting individuals and families facing learning loss, food insecurity, homelessness, and isolation. Members serve 35 hours per week and receive a modest living stipend, health insurance and an education award that can be used for tuition or to pay down student debt. Folks who are 50+ can gift the education award to children or grandchildren. The Star Tribune recently featured the program here.
Details about the program and the application can be found at: https://www.serveminnesota.org/emergency-response/
Applications for people interested in serving with us this summer are due May 19. If you have questions, please reach out to email@example.com to learn more about how you can support your community this summer.
