STATUS: Exempt - Part Time - 25-29 hours per week; year-round
POSITION SUMMARY
Southwest Christian High School partners with Christian families who desire for their children to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. As we pursue this mission, we recognize that some families in our surrounding communities may face practical, financial, or cultural obstacles that prevent them from fully exploring the opportunity of a Christ-centered
education at SWC.
The Community Outreach Coordinator will play a key role in helping the school connect with and enroll new students and families who share our mission and values. This position will focus on building relationships with local churches, pastors, schools, and community organizations to identify and engage prospective families. The Coordinator will work closely with
the admissions and marketing teams to communicate the vision of SWC, strengthen community awareness, and encourage families to consider Southwest Christian as a place for their students to grow in faith and learning. Additionally, the Coordinator will utilize these new relationships to pinpoint individuals and locations where SWC can offer service and meet the tangible needs of people in the communities surrounding our school. Examples include All School Service Days, Athletic Team Service Days, and FLEx projects.
Through these efforts, the Community Outreach Coordinator will help broaden SWC’s reach and impact, building connections that reflect and serve the Christian community around us and cultivating a shared commitment to unity in Christ (Galatians 3:28).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Cultivate new relationships with Christian families, communities, and churches from a wide range of backgrounds.
Create awareness of SWC in the broader Christian community.
Research SWC's reputation and brand in the local area.
Identify and understand perceived or genuine barriers to enrollment, fundraising, and outreach.
Leverage new relationships to identify people and places SWC can serve to meet the needs of people in the communities that surround the school (e.g., All School Service Days, Athletic Team Service Days, FLEx projects).
Assist in enhancing a culture of unity in Christ within the school community.
Will provide connections to people and communities that SWC can serve.
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Minimum of 3 years related experience.
Outstanding interpersonal skills.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Tactfulness and discretion.
Spiritual Qualities:
Vibrant Christian Faith: Candidates must possess a genuine, growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, demonstrated through a solid understanding of God's Word and active involvement in a local Bible-believing church.
Biblical Authority: Actively support the school's Statement of Faith, believing the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God—the ultimate standard for faith and practice.
Spiritual Maturity: Exhibit a consistent desire for spiritual growth, evidenced by prayer, Bible study, integrity of character, and bearing the fruit of the Spirit in all interactions.
Christian Role Model: Serve as a positive Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others, including adherence to God's biblical standards for sexual conduct (Luke 6:40).
Required Commitment: Must commit to, sign, and upholdSWCHS’s Pledge of Integrity & Biblical Morality, Statement of Faith, Vision & Values, and Social Position Statement as a condition for employment.
Pay & Benefits
$35,000 - $45,000 - average range; actual pay based on candidate’s education & experience.
Benefits include PTO and 401k plan. Ineligible for healthcare benefits. No tuition discount.
