This position will have the flexibility to telecommute, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to complete a telework agreement. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office once a month for team building and on occasion when needed.
As a Landscape Architect Registered, you will travel to district and customer sites. This position exists to provide technical landscape architectural support to the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s (MnDOT) Office of Environmental Stewardship with the focus on transportation corridor development and landscape design.
This position will:
· Provide computer aided design for MnDOT clientele by developing final plans, specifications and estimates, graphic renderings and exhibits, and various reports and publications.
· Assist MnDOT Project Managers and Licensed Landscape Architects with program management, project development, and planning activities by applying Context Sensitive Solution principles.
· Participate as a project manager or member of project design teams.
· Assist with research and training activities.
· Provide technical assistance and advice to clientele during public engagement and in the field.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two (2) years of professional experience with all phases of landscape architecture from planning, through conceptual studies, design, and construction
Applicants must be licensed as a professional Landscape Architect with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design or be able to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
And have experience in the following:
Experience with using manual and computer-aided landscape architectural and engineering drafting, design, and computational tools
Experience with computer aided design (CAD) systems for engineering and construction plan preparation and design
GIS including spatial concepts, applications
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Creative Cloud InDesign for developing reports, graphic illustrations, drawings, photo documentation and retouching, and exhibits to communicate design and training intent
Experience with transportation corridor planning, design, or construction
Valid Driver’s license
