HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE (Overview & Key Responsibilities):
The primary role of the Product & Materials Lab Technician is the timely and accurate execution of test procedures as requested by customer’s projects. Essential job functions include:
Preparation of test specimens for material and device testing.
Performance and verification of material and device testing / measurement activities per test plan, published standard, customer protocol and/or SOP for each test.
Detailed documentation of test results on worksheet or laboratory notebook.
Communication of test status and providing feedback on issues found within tests and tasks to Project Managers and Lab Manager
Identify, recommend and assist with process /equipment improvements for set-ups and test methods. Write and revise SOPs as requested.
Keeping training logs and SOP readership up to date. Provide training to other technicians for test procedures and methods as required.
Ensure the lab remains clean, organized and report any safety concerns to the Lab Manager.
Support Project Managers with compiling raw data of test results in Excel spreadsheets.
Management of multiple projects/tests at any one time ensuring all commitments are met.
Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
Associates Degree or 2 – 5 years of equivalent work experience
Microsoft Office, computer literate
Creativity
Detail oriented
Strong verbal and written communications
Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
Team player
Self-motivated / self-directed
Mechanical aptitude
Strong problem-solving skills

Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART (Preferred Qualifications):
Prior Employment Experience: 1 – 2 years of laboratory experience desired
