We'd Love to Hear From You!
Crossroads Career Network at Grace Church is a volunteer-run organization.
We always welcome and greatly appreciate people passionate about
what we do, who have a heart to help people and are willing to give of their time.
If that's you, here are some ways to help.

Gift: Do you have a passion to serve others and encourage them along the way?

Need: Our 8-week small group classes are the "meat and potatoes" of what we offer job seekers. We use the Crossroads Career Network Explorers Workbook as a guide, however, encourage each facilitator to add their wisdom and expertise in the process.

Serve: The purpose of these classes is to provide the best, most relevant and current content to help them in their job search as we can while sharing the love of Christ and how faith in Christ is key in their life and in their work!

Practical Content, Moral Support, Faith, and Encouragement each week are the goals of these classes.

Ideally, class facilitators are engaged in the employment market in some way professionally / vocationally. That see the changing trends and market conditions on a regular basis and can always offer current insight and practical advice for the job search process.

We seek leaders that are mature in their own Christian walk and love to share their faith and a Godly view of work with others.

Commitment: We ask for a one-year commitment at a minimum, which is about 3-4 classes a year. Each class series is 8-weeks. Most classes are held at Grace Church but you may teach at other locations like at your local library.

Gift: Do you love people?

Serve: Greet them, meet them, help them get name tags and hand-out sheets and make them feel comfortable when they arrive at our Monthly Meetings (first Thursday of the month). We always appreciate having multiple greeters that make people feel welcome and cared for.

Commitment: This opportunity is available any time and on a "whenever I can make it" basis! Best if you are also "a morning person" since our meetings start at 7:30 AM.

Gift: Can you coordinate people and resources on the fly?

Serve: Employers that take part in our monthly Micro Job Fairs generally arrive half-way through our monthly meetings, on the first Thursdays of the month.

People are needed to greet them, help them find a table and set up display materials they may have brought. Finding a place for everyone, and making sure they have everything they need is critical. Helping them feel welcomed and supported encourages them to come back on a regular basis.

Social Media Marketing

Gift: Do you enjoy creating and posting organic content on social media sites like Facebook, LinkedIn and Eventbrite?

Serve: Help us get the word out through social media, on all of Crossroads events and services that we provide each month to people looking to make a change or who are in job transition. Work collaboratively with other volunteers to create a content calendar and keep our social media posts current, timely and fun!

Commitment: We ask for six months to one year commitment - averaging 2-4 hours a month. Must have access to own computer with good internet connectivity, and able to post online in a timely manner given most of Crossroads activities are event-driven.

Gift: Are you a Prayer Warrior?

Serve: We have a prayer team that loves to pray for people through requests that come from our website. Additionally, there is a need for more people on the prayer team for national Crossroads Career Network prayer requests.

If you have a passion for supporting people by taking their needs and concerns to Christ in prayer, we'd love to talk to you!

Commitment: This opportunity requires a longer term commitment to have consistency on the team. You are able to pray at home, and you have an opportunity to pray for people in person, at periodic events held by Crossroads.
