Our Plant Maintenance Engineer position performs skilled operation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, equipment, and other mechanical systems. The incumbent will also be responsible for:
· Performing building construction maintenance and repair, and grounds maintenance as required.
· Assisting the plumber and electrician as necessary so that services are provided in a safe, efficient manner.
· Driving to various MnDOT locations in the West Metro daily.
*Note – The incumbent is required to be immediately accessible by phone and be able to report to work within one (1) hour of being called.

Here are the Minimum Qualifications:
· First Class C Boiler Engineer license or higher from the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry;
· Valid Class D Driver’s License with NONE of the following: a major traffic conviction in the past 5 years OR 4 or more minor violations OR 3 or more at-fault accidents in the last 3 years OR any combination of minor violations and at-fault accidents totaling 4 or more occurrences.
Ability to obtain and maintain:
· DOLI Unlicensed Individual Electrical Work Registration within 6 months.
· DOLI Unlicensed Individual Plumbing Work Registration within 6 months.
