Healthcare Proposal Manager - Elior North America

We have a leadership position open on our healthcare/senior living team for a primary proposal manager/developer. This role is a facilitator for all documents associated with creating strategic responses to RFP and RFI requests. This role works collaboratively with sales leadership to develop winning sales strategies and brings these strategies to life via the creation of customized digital proposals.
The leader we are seeking has a strategic perspective and proven experience working with executive sales leadership. The Manager will lead response development including content strategy, documentation, design, layout and final delivery of complex food service management proposals.
The Healthcare Proposal Manager will maintain ongoing content updates by collaborating with subject matter experts and will work with a wide range of internal employees at all levels to support the proposal process. In addition, he/she will ensure quality assurance for all documents and materials, corporate identity compliance, the inclusion of high-quality photographs, and accurate, persuasive content. He/she will have a proven history of maintaining quality throughout draft, editorial, and production phases of proposal creation.
He/she will thrive on producing results, managing the timely delivery of concurrent and overlapping deliverables. The ideal candidate will take a leadership role in proactively creating and maintaining timelines, updating teams on progress, and proactively following up on adherence to timelines.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end proposal process for complex, high-value opportunities (>$1M), taking full ownership from planning through final delivery.
- Collaborate closely with Business Development Directors (BDDs) and cross functional team members to establish strategic alignment, understanding client goals, and developing proposals that are tailored to those objectives.
- Engage in strategic discussions with BDDs and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to shape proposal strategy, content, and messaging, ensuring a client-centric approach.
- Oversee the proposal lifecycle as a Project Manager, ensuring all components are aligned, deadlines are met, and deliverables adhere to compliance and brand standards
- Strategically position all corporate programs and services including our value proposition throughout the creation of proposal responses.
- Review content regularly. Author and manage consistent flow and messaging– blending terminology and styles of multiple content contributors to deliver a consistent, persuasive voice throughout each proposal.
- Ensure proposals are structurally sound, error-free, and complete by managing a rigorous quality control process that includes thorough content reviews and sourcing of any missing information.
- Write new content, update existing materials, and manage a centralized content repository to drive efficiencies and enhance the quality of future proposals.
- Design proposal layouts in InDesign that align with RFP requirements while maintaining company brand standards.
Qualifications:
Proven track record in project management, with experience overseeing complex proposal processes, timelines, and resources
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an expert understanding of grammar, clarity, and consistency
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to manage and mentor team members and influence stakeholders across decentralized, cross-functional teams
Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to lead proposal strategy discussions and tailor content to client-specific needs
Advanced time management and organizational skills, with experience managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
Ability to navigate complex technical documents (such as RFPs) and synthesize information into clear, persuasive content
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat Pro, with experience designing proposal layouts that meet technical and branding standards
Ability to proactively solve problems and adapt under tight deadlines
Experience in content management, with a focus on continuous process improvement to enhance proposal team efficiency
Willingness to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and resource for BDDs and team members
