Accounts Payable Specialist - Temporary/Part-time (Eden Prairie, MN)

$24.00 To $30.00 Hourly

Position Summary
The Accounts Payable (AP) Temporary position is within the finance organization at Zinpro and reports to the Corporate Accounting Manager. This role is responsible for managing the intake and processing of vendor invoices to ensure timely, accurate, and policy-compliant payments, including resolving discrepancies with external vendors and internal teams. The successful candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a high volume, deadline-driven environment.
Essential Functions
Manage invoice intake by reviewing submission and routing to AP system.
Review vendor invoices and route for coding and approval.
Ensure proper GL, cost center, and tax coding on approved invoices.
Post approved invoices to the ERP system for payment processing.
Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.
Qualifications
Required:
Education and Experience:
1+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
Experience with invoice intake, coding, and approval workflows.
Basic knowledge of GL and tax coding, including cost center allocation.
Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).
Preferred
Familiarity with PO-based matching (2-way and 3-way match).
Prior work in a shared services or centralized AP team.
Experience in a manufacturing or inventory-based environment.
Experience with SAP, Blackline, and Esker systems.
Schedule Requirements
This is a hybrid position, and temporary role. This position is scheduled during regular business hours, is part time 20 hours per week for 5 months at the start of project assignment.
