This position may have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.
Our CAV Project Management Engineer position leads the development and execution of complex Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Connected & Automated Vehicle (CAV) projects. The individual in this position will also:
· Manages the scope, schedule, budget, and risks of projects from concept development through project evaluation.
· Develops project goals that meet office, agency, and state goals, and are coordinated across MnDOT, other agencies and stakeholders.
· Supports implementing CAV and ITS statewide initiatives related to policy, planning, and technology such as the MnDOT CAV Tactical Plan and the Governor’s Advisory Council.
· Supervises, mentors, and coaches other project managers.
· In-state and out of state travel is required up to 25% of the time; this includes some overnight travel.

Here are the Minimum Qualifications:
Licensure as a professional civil engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geosciences and Interior Design (AELSLAGID).
Three years of experience as an Engineer Senior or equivalent that demonstrates:
Experience in applying project management principles to engineering projects such as scoping, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, change management and project-level communications.
Experience managing complex, cross organizational technical projects with internal and external stakeholders.
