Description

Hennepin County Human Resources is seeking a Process Analyst to manage projects that define, analyze, develop and document functional and technical specifications to improve workflow/processes, build metrics reports for decision making, and use software to create visuals of various processes, standard operating procedures, and process maps specifically related to the workers compensation claims process.Current Hennepin County employees who refer a candidate hired into an open competitive position may be eligible for a $500 referral bonus. For more information visit the employee referral program page. Location and hours:This position is remote. Remote workers may be required to come on-site 0 to 12 days a year for work meetings, trainings, or for any other reasons that their supervisor may deem necessary (may include additional days for onboarding and new employee training). Supervisors will provide as much advance notice as practicable. Hours are Monday through  Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Based on business needs of this position, hires must live in or relocate to Minnesota.New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.   About the position type:

In this position, you will:   

·         Facilitate, elicit, and develop standard procedures with stakeholders.

·         Create visuals of process and job flows.

·         Manage project artifacts in planning, analysis, design, organization, implementation and supporting solutions.

·         Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams, collaborate with different functions of departments, gather feedback, problem solve, and communicate results to stakeholders.

·         Work with staff at all levels of the organization. 

·         Conduct gap analysis and drill down questioning (5 whys) resulting in process improvement.

Need to have:

·         One of the following:

o    Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration; research methods, statistics; behavioral/social science; public health; computer science/MIS or management science; urban/city planning, or a field appropriate to the area of specialization.

o    Bachelor's degree in any field and a minimum of two courses in research methods, analysis, statistics, project management, planning or evaluation and one year or more of relevant planning analyst experience.

 Nice to have:    

·         LEAN or Six Sigma training.

·         Experience:

o    Working in the MN Workers’ Compensation System.

o    Managing project artifacts in planning, analysis, design, organization, implementation and supporting solutions.

o    Creating visuals of process and job flows.

o    Facilitating, eliciting, and developing standard procedures with stakeholders.

o    Communicating with technical and non-technical teams, collaborating with different functions of departments, gathering feedback, problem solving, and communicating concisely and clearly on subject matters on all levels. 

o    Working with various levels of staff within an organization.

o    With Drilldown questioning (5 whys) and/or Gap analysis.

·          Ability to:

o    Creatively problem solve when confronted with obstacles. 

o    Interpret data and information.

o    Deal with change and ambiguity.

o    Work independently and as part of a team.

o    Plan, organize and prioritize high quality work while multi-tasking complex tasks.
