Description

The APEX division of the Office of Budget and Finance (OBF) is seeking two students to participate in a part-time IT Developer internship as PeopleSoft Testing Framework Developers. Effective December 31, 2023, there will be a general salary adjustment of 2.5% to the minimum and maximum of the range.   Current Hennepin County employees who refer a candidate hired into an open competitive position may be eligible for a $500 referral bonus. For more information visit employee referral program.   Location and hours:These positions are hybrid and will be performed both on-site at 625 South 4th Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55415, and remote as job duties require. Interns will work part-time approximately 15 - 20 hours per week starting in January 2024 and continue through June 2024 with the potential to extend. Work hours may be scheduled around the students' class schedules but must fall within the regular office hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.While these positions are designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin. Note: You must attach a resume and cover letter with your application materials in order to be considered for this position.  About these position types:These are part-time, non-benefit earning internship positions.These positions are internally classified as an Intern II.Click here to view the job classification specification. In these positions you will: 

·         Attend Oracle PeopleSoft Testing Framework (PTF) training.

·         Create and Test scripts using PTF.

·         Troubleshoot technical issues with the PTF tool.

Need to have:

·         Must be currently enrolled for the academic school year of 2023-2024 in either a: 

o    Bachelor's degree program as a junior or senior in computer science, management information systems, or another related IT field.

o    Master's degree program in computer science, management information systems, or another related IT field 

o    Recent graduate (within 6-months) with a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, management information systems, or another related IT field.

o    Access to reliable internet and self-support hybrid workspace.

Nice to have:

·         Experience or knowledge of programming languages such as Cache, Java, .Net, SQL, Visual Basic.

·         Programming aptitude and analytical skills.

·         Ability to analyze problems and troubleshoot.

·         Ability to work in a project team environment and develop/maintain a positive partnering relationship with business and technical project team staff.
