Description
Hennepin County is excited to share information about our free Security Officer training program beginning September 2023! This program was developed in partnership with HIRED, Change Equals Opportunity, and Hennepin County to train for Security Officer jobs in our Facility Services Department. This department is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for all our customers at county facilities. This is a four-month, full-time training program where participants work as Trainee Security Officers while also attending classes. This is a benefit earning position paid at $21 per hour at 40 hours a week. This program is for you because you:
· Have at least 12 months of face-to-face customer service work experience
· Able to attend classes and work full-time, weekdays 8-4:30pm
· Have access to reliable transportation to move between county sites
· Able to walk or stand for extended periods of time; run occasionally, lift and carry up to 10 pounds
· Meet program requirements set by HIRED
