Description
We're hiring an Analytics and Health Economics Manager for Hennepin Health. This position provides leadership and execution for analytics and health economics in alignment with operational, clinical, and financial objectives of the organization. This individual analyzes trends and interprets their effect on financial performance. The Analytics and Health Economics Manager also interacts with and provides data analysis assistance and support to operations and clinical personnel at all levels. This position will interact with cross-functional workgroups to identify, align, and direct metrics, analytics, and modeling priorities while managing ad hoc requests and creating a focused work plan.

Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at the Health Services Building - 525 Portland Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55415 and remote as job duties require. This position has a primary schedule of Monday-Friday, days, with flexibility to respond to business needs. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable after the new employee successfully completes probation.

In this position, you will:
Manage a team of senior analysts, build infrastructure and financial models, and deliver program evaluation and recommendations for enhancement to existing programs.
Engage in the entity business decision-making process by recommending courses of action and/or analyzing the plans and actions of operating executives.
Serve as the subject matter expert on data analytics, including performance measurement and cost effectiveness/return on investment (ROI) analyses.
Develop analyses of providers' performance to improve outcomes; quantify practice and physician variation, benchmark performance, and establish clinical best practices based on cost-effective care delivery.
Develop reporting and analysis to highlight opportunities and arm operations and clinical management with timely data, targeted alerts, etc.
Manage relationships with other analytics departments within the Accountable Health Model and provide leadership for Enterprise Data and Analytics Strategic Plan on behalf of Hennepin Health.
Need to have: One of the following:
Ten years or more of accounting and financial management experience, including two years or more of supervisory experience.
Bachelor's degree or higher in actuarial sciences, accounting, business administration, finance, statistics, economics, or a closely related field and six years or more of accounting and financial management experience, including two years or more of supervisory experience.
Nice to have:
Experience working with either health plans or healthcare delivery organizations (provider) including an understanding of health plan rate setting.
Reporting and analytic experience with claims data and expertise in data modeling tools and techniques.
Experience working with financial and other enterprise resource planning systems including SQL and statistical modeling tools, risk adjustment methodologies, data warehouse and other logical data stores, reporting and analytic tools and techniques, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
