Auditor Senior | Up to $84,543/annually

This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul, Minnesota. This position will have the flexibility to telecommute, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to complete a telework agreement. The incumbent may be expected to work in the office on occasion.
As an Auditor Senior, you will conduct internal audits of the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). Responsibilities include:
Conducting audits and/or investigations within MnDOT
Evaluating and testing internal controls
Performing legal compliance testing
Drafting audit reports
Assisting in training less experienced auditors
Developing and updating permanent audit files
Occasional in-state travel is required (up to 25% of time), including some overnight stays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years of professional (MAPE 05L or higher) auditing experience that demonstrates the following:
(*NOTE: A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (with an accounting concentration) substitutes for one year of professional experience.)
Experience conducting financial audits and/or compliance audits and/or investigations.
Experience applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), operational auditing concepts and/or compliance with auditing principles.
Experience analyzing internal controls, business operations, and/or compliance with applicable requirements.
