Communications & Training Developer | Up to $94,001/annually

The position is a temporary appointment anticipated to last up to 2 years. The position will have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to complete a telework agreement. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office on occasion.
The purpose of this position is to provide financial communication, education, training, and support to Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) management and employees as part of MnDOT’s project to replace the agency’s timesheet and business expense application. Specifically, the position will:
Identify the need for, design, and develop training relating to financial concepts and applications;
Design and develop financial communications and educational materials for distribution to a wide variety of stakeholders at MnDOT;
Analyze and resolve questions or problems encountered by system users relating to Self-Service Timesheet and Business Expenses, and Resource Consumption Application (RCA); and
Work with subject matter experts from across the department and experts from other agencies to determine best practices related to financial applications and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of advanced professional experience (10L or higher) that demonstrates:
Experience analyzing business practices related to payroll, business expenses, or fair labor laws.
Technical writing experience creating business related documents like processes, procedures, or training materials.
Experience developing and facilitating trainings related to financial concepts or applications.
Experience with financial applications that record, manage, and report on financial related data.
A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, or business substitutes for six months of advanced professional experience.
