Metro Sales has an opening for a Field Support Representative. Your primary focus will be to troubleshoot and repair hardware equipment while also delivering exceptional customer service. Metro Sales will provide the support and training you need to personally and professionally succeed in this role.
What You Will Do:
Provide on-site technical support for all certified products.
Call all customers prior to going on-site.
Thoroughly and accurately complete all required paperwork.
Maintain accurate field parts inventory.
Work with field technicians to improve their technical performance at the direction of the field supervisor.
Must be punctual every assigned work day.
Assist in product and group meetings.
Work the connectivity helpdesk as scheduled.
Handle first and second level connectivity issues, which could include network installs, unable to print, unable to scan, or any other connectivity solution.
Assist in training classes.
Schedule installs in Outlook and communicate all schedule changes to Sales, Supervisors and customers.
Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
Required Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two years field service experience with Metro Sales, Inc.; OR a combination of field service experience with Metro Sales, and previous equivalent, field service experience totaling a minimum of two years.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate ideas clearly in oral communications.
Ability to organize and schedule time effectively.
Must be willing to participate in our After-Hours Service Program.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Successfully complete Dale Carnegie Communications course or Toastmaster public speaking training or agree to achieve one of these within a time frame set by the service manager.
Must have CompTIA A+ Certification and CompTIA NET+ or equivalent certifications.
