Hennepin Health is seeking a Senior Health Care Quality Improvement Specialist to participate in Hennepin Health quality assessment and improvement initiatives.
Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at 525 Portland Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55415 and remote as job duties require. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30p.m. Based on business needs of this position, hires must live in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.
In this position, you will:
Lead the evaluation, development and implementation of outcome based studies on topics relevant to Hennepin Health members, using disciplined scientific methods (i.e. Lean, Plan-Do-Study-Act, etc.) that meet MN Department of Human Services Performance Improvement Projects and the Minnesota Department of Health focus studies requirements.
Monitor and identify trends in performance and ensure that effective performance improvement plans are implemented; lead multi-disciplinary quality assessment and improvement teams.
Work with Hennepin Health network providers to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives and to collect data.
Analyze and evaluate results of quality assessment and improvement activities; prepare and present reports and findings; conduct audits relevant to quality improvement activities.
Ensure communications are disseminated to appropriate personnel within the department and organization.
Need to have:
One of the following:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a field related to the position, or graduation from an approved school of nursing, and three years or more of approved professional clinical, program planning and evaluation, or quality management experience.
Seven years or more of approved professional clinical, program planning and evaluation, or quality management experience
Nice to have:
Knowledge of quality improvement theory and application, Minnesota regulatory statues, and rules for HMOs.
Experience and expertise in producing large bodies of written work with both quantitative and qualitative content.
Experience and proficiency in using a variety of health and data related software such as electronic medical record systems, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
