Description
The Department of Business Information Office is seeking a student to participate in a part-time internship with the operations team as an audio and video meeting support intern. As an intern, you'll gain hands on experience with audio and video recording for live meetings for the Hennepin County board meetings.

Location and hours:Â
This position is on-site at the Hennepin County Government Center located at 300 South 6thStreet, Downtown Minneapolis and at the Hennepin County 625 building located at 625 South 4th Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55415. Work hours are Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. This internship will start in July 2025 and will last up to 6 months in duration. This intern will work approximately 20 hours/week.

In this position, you will:Â Â
·      Work with the Event Technology Services team in Operations BIO to manage, support and run meetings and events for Hennepin County Board and at the 625 Auditorium.
·      Configure and install audio/visual systems, including integrating microphones, video screens, video monitors, sound systems, recording systems, and computers, ensuring connectivity and optimal performance for events and functions such as meetings and presentations.Â
·      Troubleshoot and resolve issues with media systems.Â
·      Conduct quality control analysis during performances and make necessary adjustments to technology.Â
·      Provide public meeting support including troubleshooting and resetting passwords, editing video, correcting timestamps, and collaborating with technical support.Â
Need to have:
·      Current enrollment for the Fall academic school year of 2025-2026 or recent graduate (within 6 months from graduation date) in an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree program.
·      Access to consistent and reliable transportation.
Nice to have:Â Experience with:
·      Audio and video recording.
·      Meeting support (in person or hybrid).
