Description
Resident Services IT (RSIT) is seeking to fill an IT Support Analyst I position. This person will provide technical support to business partners, primarily in the Land Information & Tax Services (LITS) department. This position will work with a variety of IT and business stakeholders / partners and requires someone who has intermediate IT knowledge, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to learn new skills quickly. We are a small and streamlined collaborative team and offer great work life balance.

Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at the Hennepin County Government Center, 300 South 6th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55487 and remote as job duties require. Work hours will typically be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.
New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.

At this time, employees may be eligible to receive an additional cash merit of up to $1147.98 that can be earned annually based on performance.
In this position, you will:
· Triage, respond to and assist in the delivery of solutions for business partners and end user requests for hardware / software and other solution assistance needs.
· Provide technical support of end user applications and related infrastructure. Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical partners on service requests and other enterprise solutions.
· Work with stakeholders to document business and technical scope and requirements necessary to obtain approval of review boards (CAB, ARB, etc.).
· Document technical specifications and requirements that support development, testing, deployment, and system maintenance of new technologies and applications.
· Coordinate and collaborate on the implementation of technical projects, with mentor guidance
Need to have:
· One of the following:
o Two years or more of information technology experience.
o Two-year college/vocational/technical degree or higher in a technology field.
o Approved information technology certificate.
o Completion of five college/vocational/technical information technology courses.
o Completion of approved Hennepin County IT internship.
Nice to have:
· Experience:
o Providing excellent customer service in person, by phone, via chat/email, or Service Management tool.
o Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with applications, workstations, and end users.
o Deploying hardware and software upgrades to business customers.
o Coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes, including equipment & phone procurement and access setup.
· Knowledge of:
o IT systems, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and industry frameworks (IT Service Management, Agile, DevOps).
o Infrastructure and platforms.
o Office productivity software (i.e. Microsoft Office 365).
o SharePoint document and site management.
o Troubleshooting Windows 10 and 11 operating systems and Microsoft Office 365.
o Process development and improvement.
· Ability to:

· Install applications, upgrades, and fixes.
