Description
The Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR) is seeking an Office Specialist III to work within the Juvenile Probation Services Division. This position will primarily provide support to probation officers at the North Minneapolis office location. Current Hennepin County employees who refer a candidate hired into an open competitive position may be eligible for a $500 referral bonus. For more information visit employee referral program. Location and hours:This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at the at the Juvenile Justice Center, 590 Park Avenue in Minneapolis, MN and remote as job duties require. Work hours will be Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin. New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.About the position type:This is a full-time, benefit earning position. · Provide customer service both in person and by telephone, to clients, attorneys, court personnel, probation staff, and community members.
· Provide front desk coverage.
· Be responsible for the physical office space and request repairs as needed.
· Input, retrieve, interpret, and modify information stored in computerized systems including CSTS (Court Services Tracking System), MNCIS, MGA and other systems as needed.
· Perform CSTS case assignment, including opening and closing cases.
· Support court calendars.
· Manage, sort, process, and distribute mail and facsimiles via RightFax.
· Assist and support Juvenile Probation personnel.
· Manage and interpret court orders.
· Complete e-filing, uploading of documents, and review and edit reports.
Need to have:
· One of the following:
o Two years or more of full-time office clerical experience.
o Completion of two years or more of post-high school education.
o 18 months or more of office clerical experience and completion of the Office Specialist Pathway Training program.
o One year or more of office clerical experience and completion of the Human Services Pathway Training program.
