GENERAL SUMMARY
This position provides a full range of Human Resources services and support to the organization while implementing HR strategies and solutions to meet the needs of the company wide business partners. The Senior HR Generalist will be a strong "utility player" across the HR team and a resource to provide consultative support to managers and supervisors regarding various human resource matters. In addition, this position will work closely with Human Resources leadership in developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing initiatives including: Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI), performance management, talent acquisition, employee retention strategies, leave management, learning & development, required reporting and trainings, human resources process improvement, HR metrics, employee relations, regulatory compliance, HR policies, programs and activities.
This position is offered by Abōva Talent, LLC, a subsidiary of Stratacor and affiliate of Delta Dental of Minnesota.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides consultation to employees and management to ensure effective employee relation issues. Assists, follows, coaches and maintains documentation for progressive discipline and standards of conduct. Escalated issues including written or final warnings must be reviewed with the Director of Human Resources.
Partner with management regarding completion of performance appraisals, job descriptions and promotions/transfers. Supports the coordination of the performance review process by monitoring reviews for appropriate content.
Coordinates and supports organization's talent acquisition processes and candidate experience with the Talent Acquisition team while highlighting and championing the company culture. Interview candidates, represents organization at career fairs, and assist managers with job descriptions and requisitions. Facilitate reference and background checks as well as required drug testing for potential employees. Partner with agencies on temporary labor, as needed.
Assist all employees in answering questions regarding our company programs and policies including our employee benefits, leave of absences, attendance, etc. Administer leave of absences (LOA) and workers' compensation processes as needed. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Enforces all HR policies and procedures.
Partner with HR leadership to ensure consistent learning and development programs across the organization. Support the delivery of required organizational trainings including but not limited to compliance and privacy trainings as well as support HR Director with Diversity Equity and Inclusion initiatives.
Partner with HR team to regularly measure metrics such as engagement, recruiting sources, turnover, etc.
Work on additional projects/duties as part of the long-term strategy of building a best-in-class human resources function.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with executives, hiring managers and members of the HR team in order to create a seamless and highly efficient sourcing and selection workflow.
Demonstrated understanding of applicant tracking and reporting requirements coupled with proven experience in leading diversity recruitment initiatives.
Demonstrated experience in the sourcing, selection, implementation and day-to-day coordination of a Talent Acquisition process that effectively attract, capture and deploy candidates against opportunities while tracking all decisions.
Proven track record of creating and successfully executing innovative strategic staffing/sourcing initiatives (i.e. social networking media) within technology, digital product development, and design industry.
Ability to lead and facilitate trainings to diverse audiences.
Strong knowledge and experience with employment laws (i.e., FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, COBRA).
Experience with HRIS systems preferably UKG Pro; including ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) Recruiting & On-Boarding Gateways & Learning Modules or similar technology.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Self-starter with the ability to maintain professional working relationships with team.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills.
Understanding of general Human Resources policies and procedures & federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Experience compiling data and filing regulatory reports (i.e., Affirmative Action Plans, EEO, ACA, VETS4212).
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality standards and a strong sense of integrity.
Ability to deal with ambiguity effectively.
Outstanding knowledge of MS Office, applicant tracking, HRIS technology, HR metrics analysis.
Required: Demonstrated full proof of vaccination against COVID-19 prior to start date.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree Human Resources or related degree or demonstrated equivalency (e.g. experience, certifications).
5+ years of human resources experience in a variety of functions including generalist-related duties, talent acquisition, diversity equity & inclusion, on-boarding, retention, employee relations, learning and development, leave management and compliance.
Culture focused HR experience.
Preferred: HR Certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSCIAL DEMANDS
Travel Requirements: Minimal local in the Twin Cities & occasional to Bemidji, MN
Weight Lifting Requirement: 20 lbs.
