JOB DESCRIPTION
Hope Farm School is a Christian boarding school for urban youth. The hardships facing today’s inner-city youth are vast and daunting. With fathers absent, these boys languish in schools that seem irrelevant to them. Most are 3-5 years behind in school, and drop out rates are as high as 80%. Hope Farm School changes these dynamics, providing an exciting rural environment where they are free from the temptations of the city, with plenty of meaningful work and play. We provide authentic challenges, leadership opportunities, and a regained sense of hope through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Role of Resident Assistant (RA): The RA works to create a positive atmosphere and build a community within the student body.
Qualifications: Christian man (boy students only), hard worker, energetic, willing to coach a variety of team sports, with some experience working with youth ages 13-18.
Job duties:
-Lead farm and athletic activities
-Shepherd the boys as they learn to follow instructions and live together in community
-Facilitate Christian discipleship among students
-Attend weekly staff planning and prayer meetings
-Reside at the farm in Stockholm, WI (mon-fri)
Compensation: Room and board, plus a competitive salary are provided
